This European Consultancy continues to grow in the urban development, transport, renewable energy and sustainable development sectors. With over half of their international business now coming from central and eastern Europe they are currently recruiting for experts in the above fields.

They currently seek a Senior Irrigation Engineer for a 12 month assignment in Yemen. To be successful you must have the following:

• Relevant advanced degree in agricultural or social sciences, or a combination of undergraduate degree in a relevant civil engineering degree
• In-depth knowledge of agricultural development issues.
• Strong demonstrated leadership, team building, coaching and facilitation skills.
• Excellent command of English, both oral and written. Arabic would be an advantage.

Professional experience required:
• A minimum of 10 years progressively in development assistance of which at least 5 years should be of practical field experience in agricultural development projects.
• Involved as Team Leader of two long term development assistance projects (>12 months).
• Experience in European Commission project management.
