Project Manager for Underpass construction in Abu Dhabi City
Your responsibilities will include:
· To be responsible for the construction of projects and offer strategic professional advice and technical guidance to the staff.
· To be accountable for managing the progress of the project(s) from planning to handover, ensuring the results are in accordance with the project requirements documentation and immediately report any major deviations from the requirements in the management meetings.
· To be responsible for cost control, budget administration, schedule administration, work breakdown structure administration, trend and forecast management, progress/performance monitoring and reporting, value engineering estimating and overall control functions for assigned project(s) of varying sizes and levels of complexity.
· To ensure implementation of policies and procedures to achieve success in the monitoring of the work of engineering consultants and/or contractors engaged in the design and construction of project(s).
· To build, direct and motivate a dedicated Construction and Project Management team for the development of the project.
Ideally you have:
· Masters Degree in Civil Engineering preferably in Construction Management.
· +15 years of specialisation appropriate to area of assignment; considerable experience in the management and scheduling of tunnels and related infrastructure construction projects or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
· Knowledge of project and construction management practices; principles and practices of project control, including scheduling, principles and practices of project design and construction; general principles of contract administration and construction management.
· Knowledge and ability to develop and make practical use of the principles of engineering cost management which embrace activities such as estimating, cost control, value engineering, planning, construction management and risk analysis.
· Ability to use sound judgment on difficult engineering problems; review and approve specifications, plans, and drawings.
· Knowledge and ability to develop and maintain project CPM schedules using PC-based scheduling program.
· Able to work in a collaborative process and can work effectively as a team member to accomplish a task.
· Strong management skills.
· Identify organizational training and development needs.
· Good team leadership skills and can develop a team approach to enhance performance, problem solving and exchange of information.
