This UK Consultancy with a significant presence and operation in the Middle East is currently seeking a Surface / Ground Water Design Engineer for their Qatar office.

As Surface / Ground Water Design Engineer your main objectives of this role include but are not limited to providing technical support and engineering expertise to the project, with particular emphasis on drainage infrastructure systems including pumping stations.

The successful candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited university, and hold a professional qualification with an approved institution. You must also have over 20 years experience in the planning and design of surface/ground water drainage systems.

You should be qualified in the preparation and evaluation of contract documents for drainage schemes and have the ability to deal with any contractual variations or claims. Familiarity with development control would be an advantage, along with extensive knowledge of budget and cost planning of both drainage master plan strategies and individual projects.
